Palacios

For as long as Javier Palacios could remember, he felt that his life was linked to the land. He was born and raised in the village of Albelda de Iregua, in La Rioja. Although his professional career did not begin in wine,

he was bitten by the bug during a trip to Burgundy and decided, in a way, to return his gaze to the land.

To the vineyard. Palacios Vinos de Finca was born in 1999.

A single philosophy to search for gifted territories to make unrepeatable wines, different from any other.

At Bodegas Palacios Vinos de Finca, terroir is more than a concept; it is the soul of the wines. The philosophy is centered on the belief that the true character of a wine is born from its soil.   Through sustainable and precision viticulture with respect for biodiversity and minimal intervention they aim to create wines that are not only exceptional, but that authentically reflect the place they come from.  At Bodegas Palacios Vinos de Finca, the commitment to the terroir and the environment is unwavering.

In this way, natural conservation and sustainability are fundamental foundations on which we base their daily work.

Throughout Rioja-Alta,  Palacios employs very small estate plots of 2.4 acres (1ha) or less, such as Valdesabril and La Nevera for Maturana and Tempranillo Blanco.
