​Bodegas Luis Gurpegui Muga boasts a rich history rooted in the early years of the 20th century, when Primitivo Gurpegui Muga founded the first winery in San Adrián, Navarra. The family legacy continued with Luis Gurpegui Muga, who undertook the revitalization of the facilities following his father's passing. Under Luis's leadership, the winery witnessed significant expansion, making its mark in the appellations of Rioja, Navarra, and Ribera del Guadiana.

Luis Gurpegui Muga is based in Haro, Rioja-Alta.

In Ribera del Guadiana, within Extremadura old vines of Tempranillo are painstakingly cared for to produce the Pintoresco. These vines have been in the family for generations.

Nowadays, the management of the winery is led by Víctor Fernández de Manzanos, who continue to work with the Gurpegui Muga family to perpetuate the Gurpegui-Muga legacy.​​
Pintoresco Tempranillo
100% Tempranillo from the Tierra de Barros site in Ribera del Guadiana located within Extremadura-the South West of Spain. North East of Badajoz. 1,706' elevation. Thirty-Five year old vines with sand, clay and limestone soils. Four months second use American oak barrels.
